Overview: As the Android ecosystem continues to grow, more and more companies are building apps designed specifically for Android users. Companies need to find a way to maintain their brand familiarity, while staying within Android guidelines. At Yahoo, for example, there is a broad portfolio of applications, which need to represent Yahoo's brand and aesthetic, while also adhering to Android best practices for user design. Yahoo senior principal engineer Jean-Baptiste Queru (JBQ) will share how to design a positive user experience for Android apps while maintaining brand resonance, along with examples and case studies from his work at Yahoo. As one of the earliest Android users, and the former lead for Android's Open Source Project at Google, JBQ currently touches 3-5 Android applications at Yahoo every day, and manages to strike the design balance across Yahoo's entire portfolio.
