Overview: While quality standards for orchestral music in games continue to rise, budgets for games at the indie and "AA" level do not. This session will use examples from my DICE-Award Nominated score to "Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris" to show how we achieved the best possible orchestral sound quality with less than a shoestring budget. This will cover effective use of samples, hall simulation and reverb, instrumental solos and overdubs, and final mastering.
