Overview: The PC Platform is undergoing a tremendous amount of evolution and change. This is being driven by an explosion of different form factors and markets, an increasing focus on parallelism, and a relentless demand for power efficiency across the platform. While this is leading to exciting new growth opportunities, it also holds worrisome trends for developers. No longer can developers just assume yesterdays high-end PC is todays mid-range PC. Developers will need to be aware of the ways in which platforms are changing, and understand how Chinese consumer and business needs are changing, if they hope to successfully plan future games for the Chinese market. This session will give developers an understanding of the changes occurring in Chinas PC market as well as the rest of the world, and provide guidelines for developers to plan their products.
