Using Deep Links for Discoverability


2014 has been the year of the deep link, with deep linking solutions from Google and Facebook joining standards like AppURL. Deep linking makes it possible for developers to connect people with content deep inside their apps, like specific restaurant reviews in Yelp, songs in Spotify, or recipes in Allthecooks, breaking down the barrier of opening an app and searching inside of it. In this session, developers will learn why deep linking provides a better user experience and can increase the likelihood of user retention. We'll also dive into how deep linking has performed for several big brands this year.
