Overview:

Bulletstorm was a AAA FPS developed and tested across 16 timezones and multiple studios. Epic isn't totally new to this concept - the first Unreal was actually developed by 7 developers across 7 different locations. Today, with large development teams spread globally, times have changed: Bulletstorm originated out of Poland with heavy Epic involvement from Raleigh, NC. Published by EAP in London, Marketed out of San Francisco, written from Portland, OR, tested out of Raleigh, India, LA, Montreal... etc. etc. you get the idea :). This session is all about the challenges and lessons learned from developing AAA in a global distributed way.
