Overview:

Launching your massively multiplayer game is usually the culmination of years of hard work and planning, but what can you expect once the servers are actually live? Hackers, forum trolls, gold farmers, and network outages are just some of the disasters every live game faces. In this session, Crystin will detail many of the possible horrors of live game operations from the everyday to the catastrophic and help attendees prepare for the worst the internet can throw at them. Crystin will share specific examples from her own experience managing live MMOs and years of overcoming little disasters. Fellow producers will learn how to be well prepared and keep their teams thinking about the next update instead of scrambling to put out fires.
