Overview: | Heard about the GDC Microtalks? Every year, ten speakers from across the world of games and play are drawn together by curator and MC Richard Lemarchand (Uncharted, USC Games) to give ten short talks inside of a single hour about their philosophies, their view of our past, present and possible futures, and anything else that they're burning to discuss. The session has a game-like constraint: each speaker gets twenty slides, each of which is displayed for sixteen seconds before automatically advancing, giving each speaker exactly five minutes and twenty seconds to tell us what's on their minds. Sounds stimulating and fun? It is! The session gives some of your favorite GDC speakers a chance to speak about things they might not otherwise discuss on stage at GDC, and introduces you to some fresh faces - so come prepared to encounter new ideas! See you at the GDC Microtalks! |
