Overview: How do the best startups in the world go from an idea to an app? Speaking from his experience as CEO of Monsoon, Sandeep Sood will share the latest and greatest in app strategy, design, and development. Instead of talking about theories and ideas, Sandeep will share actual case studies, based on projects that he and his team have worked on. The first case study will cover strategy. Is there an 'agile' approach to strategy? Does "agile" actually exist? Why do seemingly chaotic processes often lead to breakthrough ideas? What do product managers do? How do CEOs, product managers, and designers generally differ in their approaches? Sandeep will then move into a case study that shows how the design process works. What are the best ways to turn ideas into pictures? Is the difference between things like UI, UX, UE, etc. meaningful? What does a "design-oriented approach" actually mean? The third case study will cover development. Here, Sandeep will talk about why developers must be designers. A case will be made for development as testing and testing as development. Incorporating discussion on development costs and budgeting, this case study explores what it means for a project to be finished and how to know when you are done. Finally, a fourth case study goes into the new age of marketing and how to build your team or company. It covers when to begin marketing, and how to build and enhance viral loops. The key to success is to view design, marketing, and development as the same task - how do the best of the best accomplish this?
