Bringing the Community into the Dev Team - A Look into Open Development


From day one of its existence, Amplitude Studios has included the community in its development and marketing plans. We have now shipped three games (one of which won the 2013 Unity Award) with the community fully involved in design, balancing, development priorities and feature suggestions. This talk will explain how we view open development, how and why we do it the way we do, and what the positive and negative lessons from our experiences were. Topics will include financing options, community interface mechanisms, development planning, community recruitment and marketing.
