Overview: Quality of life, particularly with regard to excessive working hours that blunt the effectiveness of teams, compromise schedules, and negatively impact the health and well-being of game talent, came to another head in early 2010 with the release of an anonymous essay published on Gamasutra by a group of authors collectively identified as Rockstar Spouse. As the game industry matures, issues pertaining to developer health, the development of successful games, and enlightened development processes continue to remain high on the developer collective consciousness. Join studio leaders, lapsed game developers, and the IGDA's Quality of Life Speical Interest Group for a panel discussing the challenges and solutions faced by studios today.
