Video games are designed for people of all ages, interests and abilities, so in addition to knowing what sort of game you are making, it is just as important to identify who your game is for. This talk will give practical advice on how teams can understand and define their target audience. It will show how this information can be used during development to help make better design decisions, improve team communication and morale. How having an understanding of your audience can even increase the potential player base and makes better use of development budget.
