Overview: The hardest part about building great AR apps is not the technology, but getting users familiar with strange new user interface paradigms. Until now, the tech behind AR cloud applications has been far from consumer ready. However, this is changing. Recent breakthroughs in 3D mapping and AI are now making it possible to build AR apps that truly interact with the real world, such as indoor navigation and location-based games. Nevertheless, it's not a perfect solution yet. Placenote CEO, Neil Mathew will use examples from Placenote's work to discuss the evolving state of AR Cloud technology and how developers can design around technical shortcomings to take advantage of this great enabling technology without waiting for a perfect solution.
