Overview:

Not only are Massively Multiplayer Online Games complicated to write, but they are also exceedingly difficult to test. One avenue for maintaining broad test coverage on the many large systems that go into making an MMOG is automated testing. However, it is not clear how to make repeatable and maintainable automated tests for the real-time, distributed, asynchronous systems that make up an MMO. This lecture presents one of the automated testing frameworks created at CCP for the purpose of simplifying the development of automated tests and it relays some of experiences we have gleaned after using it for almost 3 years.
